Alexandra Skinner-Reynolds is a communications generalist currently employed as a communications officer at WorkSafeBC.
Prior to her current position, Alexandra was WorkSafeBC’s web writer/editor, and prior to that, she served as the communications director for The Synergy Marketing Group and Platinum One Destinations, a U.S. based travel company.
Her editorial work has been featured frequently in The Vancouver Sun, and most recently she’s been freelancing for ELLE Canada.
Over the past eight years, she has provided a wide range of communications services to an even wider range of clients — from the travel and tourism industry, to designer fragrances and cosmetics, non-profit organizations, and everything in between.

Alexandra has a B.A. in English from Simon Fraser University, where she graduated as a member of The Golden Key International Honour Society, recognizing academic excellence. She formalized her PR and media relations training by completing a certificate in public relations from Langara College in 2009.
Alexandra has also studied business communications at the SFU Writing Center and creative writing at The University of British Columbia, and is a press-card-holding member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada. She also serves on the education committee of the Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).
When she is not watching her two sons play hockey, soccer, football, or baseball, she is researching social media, reading, or enjoying the best of the Westcoast lifestyle.
